A Fragment. <\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">In Xanadu did Kubla Khan<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">A stately pleasure-dome decree:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">Where Alph, the sacred river, ran<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">Through caverns measureless to man<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Down to a sunless sea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">So twice five miles of fertile ground<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">With walls and towers were girdled round;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">And here were forests ancient as the hills,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">But oh! that deep romantic chasm which slanted<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">A savage place! as holy and enchanted<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">As e\u2019er beneath a waning moon was haunted<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">By woman wailing for her demon-lover!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">And from this chasm, with ceaseless turmoil seething,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">A mighty fountain momently was forced:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">Amid whose swift half-intermitted burst<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">Huge fragments vaulted like rebounding hail,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">Or chaffy grain beneath the thresher\u2019s flail:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">And mid these dancing rocks at once and ever<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">It flung up momently the sacred river.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">Five miles meandering with a mazy motion<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">Through wood and dale the sacred river ran,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">Then reached the caverns measureless to man,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">And sank in tumult to a lifeless ocean;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">And \u2019mid this tumult Kubla heard from far<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">Ancestral voices prophesying war!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The shadow of the dome of pleasure<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Floated midway on the waves;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Where was heard the mingled measure<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0From the fountain and the caves.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">It was a miracle of rare device,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">A sunny pleasure-dome with caves of ice!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A damsel with a dulcimer<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In a vision once I saw:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0It was an Abyssinian maid<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0And on her dulcimer she played,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Singing of Mount Abora.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Could I revive within me<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Her symphony and song,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0To such a deep delight \u2019twould win me,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">That with music loud and long,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">I would build that dome in air,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">That sunny dome! those caves of ice!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">And all who heard should see them there,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -1em; text-align: left;\">And all should cry, Beware!
